Shark
The Shark race (formerly known as Fish) is one of the four starter races and has a 12.5% chance of being selected when a new player joins the game. It focuses on defense and water survival, allowing players to swim without taking water damage while significantly reducing incoming damage. Shark is an excellent choice for beginners tackling Sea Events or starting PvP, especially without the Leviathan Shield. Although it is highly effective against one-shot combos, its lower mobility and damage output make it less appealing for more aggressive or advanced playstyles.
Additional Information:
Shark V1 swimming speed is faster than the Dinghy, but slower than the Sloop.
With 0 Defense and no health-boosting accessories, Shark V1 reduces water damage to 1, causing health to remain at 99/100 while swimming.
Shark V2 swimming speed is slightly faster than the Brigade.
The Leviathan's Armor aura may appear as either a blue aura or a blue overlay depending on the player's avatar.
The blue aura becomes brighter as the Overflow Shield decreases and disappears when the shield is depleted.
Leviathan's Armor is unique in that its Overflow Shield is not ignored by Gravity's upgraded [V], Gravity's upgraded [C], or the Piercing enchantment, since it functions as additional shield health rather than a standard defense buff.

Strengths & Weaknesses
A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.
Strengths
General
Water immunity (or reduced water damage at V1), allowing safer ocean traversal.
Strong damage reduction when paired with Awakened Buddha + Water Body.
Very beginner-friendly for PvP survival and sustain.
Water Body (V3)
Extremely strong defensive tool.
Can effectively nullify or break enemy combos by tanking damage.
Leviathan’s Armor (V4)
High survivability against teamers, spam builds, and combo-heavy players.
Great for enduring burst damage situations.
Whirlpool (V4)
Strong anti-run tool; helps control evasive enemies.
Improves aim consistency by restricting enemy movement.
Reduces enemy defence, increasing overall damage output against them.
Weaknesses
General
Many fruits (e.g., Ice Frost Walker, Awakened Magma Magmatic Feet, Awakened Buddha [Z], Awakened Dough [F], Kitsune Transformation, Gas Transformation, Yeti Transformation) can walk on water, reducing passive value.
Ocean travel can often be faster using mobility skills + air dashes.
No movement buffs, making it feel slow compared to other races.
Generally considered outclassed in higher-tier PvP after nerfs.
Water Body (V3)
Can be bypassed or overwhelmed by longer, sustained combo chains.
Leviathan’s Armor (V4)
Damage reduction can be partially ignored or still heavily pressured by high-burst builds (e.g., lava-type effects still deal significant damage over time).
Whirlpool (V4)
Much less effective against non-runners or players who fight aggressively or stay airborne.
Verdict
A tank-focused race built for survival and beginners, excelling in durability and anti-combo defense. However, its lack of mobility and declining relevance in high-level PvP make it less competitive compared to modern meta races.
