Sea Beast
Sea Beasts are scaling mini bosses that appear while sailing in the Second Sea and Third Sea. They can spawn in several colors, including green, brown, red, and blue, but their color is purely cosmetic and does not affect their behavior or difficulty.
A Sea Beast's maximum health scales with the number of nearby players when it spawns. Encounters with larger groups result in a tougher enemy with more health, while solo players face a lower health pool. This scaling is the primary factor that determines how long the fight will last.
Behavior:
Sea Beasts are immune to most M1 attacks, making special moves the primary way to deal damage. This prevents many melee-focused builds from fighting them effectively unless they have abilities that can bypass this limitation.
Some attacks are exceptions and can damage Sea Beasts with their M1s or unique mechanics. These include:
• Explosive Guns
• Blade
• Bomb
• Eagle
• Rubber
• Phoenix (Transformed and Awakened M1)
• Lightning
• Pain
• Gravity (All forms)
• Mammoth (Transformed)
• Diamond
• T-Rex (Base and Transformed)
• Dough (Awakened M1)
• Gas (Base and Transformed)
• Tiger (Transformed and Blazing Form)
• Werewolf (Transformed and Blazing Form)
• Yeti (Transformed)
• Kitsune (Base and Full Form)
• Empyrean (Base and Full Form)
• Control (Can only damage the lower part of the Sea Beast, near the water)
• Dragon (Base and Full Form)
Not every special move works against Sea Beasts. Certain single target abilities cannot damage them, making area of effect and multi hit attacks far more reliable for Sea Beast hunting.

Spawning:
Natural Spawning:
Sea Beasts can spawn naturally while sailing on a boat in both the Second Sea and Third Sea. In the Second Sea, there is a small chance for one to appear in front of the player's boat. The boat does not need to be moving, so players can either sail around or remain stationary while waiting for a spawn.
In the Third Sea, Sea Beasts can spawn at Sea Danger Levels 1 through 6, with a slightly higher spawn chance than in the Second Sea. Multiple Sea Beasts can appear naturally, but this should not be confused with the Rumbling Waters sea event.
During Rumbling Waters, several Sea Beasts emerge at once and heavy rain begins. The event is clearly identified by the "" message displayed at the top of the screen.
Summoning & Other:
Sea Beasts can also appear through certain abilities, NPCs, and events. Sea Beasts spawned by these methods do not drop rewards.
• Tide Keeper can summon a 20,000 HP Sea Beast during its boss fight.
• Players with 10,000,000 Bounty or Honor can use Summon Sea Beast to spawn one manually. The summoned Sea Beast's health scales with the player's level.
• A Sea Beast appears during the Trial of Water for Shark V4.
• Sea Beasts are encountered during Phoenix Raids.
Drops:
The rewards from defeating a Sea Beast depend on which sea it is defeated in. Money rewards scale with the player's level, while some items have a chance to drop instead of being guaranteed.
Second Sea:
Guaranteed Rewards:
• +1 Level
• 250 Fragments
• $60,000 to $250,000 (based on the player's level)
Possible Drops:
• Choppa
• Top Hat
• Fist of Darkness (2.5% chance)
Third Sea:
Guaranteed Rewards:
• +1 Level
• 150 Fragments
• $60,000 to $250,000 (based on the player's level)
• 350 Valor
Possible Drops:
• Choppa
• Top Hat
Abilities
Launches a large water shockwave that deals the Sea Beast's highest damage.
Medium range attack that is often used against players standing on ledges or elevated terrain.
Easier to avoid while fighting in the open sea due to its travel path.
Can be fully dodged with Instinct if the player has enough available dodges.
Fires a charged water beam that deals high damage and knocks players back.
Has a short charge-up before firing, giving players time to react.
Can be dodged with Instinct.
Activate Instinct just before the beam is fired and disable it afterward to avoid wasting dodges or risking an Instinct Break.
Let's out a close range roar that damages, stuns, and breaks Instinct.
Hits all nearby players with an area of effect attack.
Knocks players away, making it harder to counter the Sea Beast's follow-up attacks.
Commonly used before the Water Beam, preventing players from relying on Instinct to dodge it.
Submerges beneath the water, becoming temporarily untargetable before resurfacing.
Cannot be seen or damaged while underwater.
Is immune to all attacks during this phase.
Resurfaces after a short delay and resumes fighting normally.

Additional Information:
• Use a high health boat such as the Grand Brigade for better durability. Miracle is another strong option thanks to its small hitbox, although other Sea Events can still damage and sink it. Sailing farther away after a Sea Beast spawns also helps protect your boat and prevents additional Sea Events from spawning nearby.
• Race V4 is one of the best choices for Sea Beast hunting, allowing players to make full use of Blox Fruit, Sword, Fighting Style, and Gun attacks. Shark V2 and above further improve survivability with water damage immunity, while Water Body and Leviathan Armor make fighting multiple Sea Beasts much safer.
• Sanguine Art is one of the strongest Fighting Styles against Sea Beasts because of its long range and high damage. Death Step and Electric Claw are also effective alternatives after Update 20.
• Gas, Tiger, Yeti, Kitsune, and Mammoth are among the best fruits because their transformed M1 attacks can damage Sea Beasts. Awakened Magma, Blizzard, Awakened Dough, Awakened Phoenix, and Lightning are also excellent options thanks to their high AoE damage and reliable attacks. Ice and Awakened Magma also let players walk on water, making encounters much easier.
• Cyborg V2 helps recover Energy while taking damage, making long fights easier. Some players also prefer the unawakened Magma [F] because it deals continuous damage, although this is mainly recommended with Shark V2+ to avoid being pushed underwater.
• Recommended swords include Shark Anchor for its damage and range, True Triple Katana for its large hitboxes, Cursed Dual Katana for its mobility, and Saber as an accessible option for newer players.
• Leviathan Shield is one of the best accessories for Sea Beast hunting, providing 90% Sea damage reduction, 30% Sea Event damage reduction, and +1,000 Health. Leviathan Crown and Shark Tooth Necklace are also strong choices if you want to increase damage against Sea Events.
• Buddha is generally not recommended unless your weapon or Fighting Style abilities deal high damage, since most M1 attacks cannot damage Sea Beasts. However, a fully awakened Buddha paired with strong Fighting Styles and Race V4 remains a powerful option.
• Hunting Sea Beasts and Rumbling Waters is one of the best ways to farm Money in the Third Sea, especially at higher Sea Danger Levels.
• Multiple Sea Beasts can naturally spawn in the Second Sea without triggering Rumbling Waters. In this case, "" appears instead of "".
• Sea Beasts cannot be detected with Instinct, but their attacks can still be dodged. They also let out a loud roar when they spawn, making them easier to locate.
• Sea Beasts despawn if players move too far away for about 30 seconds, or automatically after 15 minutes if they are not defeated.
• Multiple players can receive a Fist of Darkness from the same Sea Beast, provided each deals enough damage. Defeating a Sea Beast is also required to unlock Shark V3.
• There is a known bug where some players do not receive the title "The Beast" after defeating 25 Sea Beasts. In extremely rare cases, three Sea Beasts can naturally spawn at once without triggering Rumbling Waters.
Strategies:
• Magma, Gas, Kitsune, Yeti, Mammoth, Blizzard, Tiger, Pain, and Bomb are among the best choices for Sea Beast hunting. Magma offers the fastest sustained damage, Mammoth's transformed [F] excels against groups, and Bomb's [C] makes Rumbling Waters much easier to solo.
• Stay at Sea Danger Level 2 or lower when farming in the Third Sea if possible, as higher danger levels greatly increase the chances of Terrorsharks and other Sea Events damaging or sinking your boat.
• Keep Instinct disabled unless you need to dodge a Water Beam. The Sea Beast's Roar can break Instinct, leaving you unable to avoid its most dangerous attack.
• Fight from high above the water whenever possible to reduce the risk of being knocked underwater by Water Beam.
• Learn to recognize attack patterns. A Sea Beast that turns toward you, recoils, or plays a charging sound is usually preparing Water Beam, while raising its head indicates it is about to Roar. React by activating or disabling Instinct as needed.
• Deadly Shower is usually used at close range. Although each projectile deals little damage, being hit by many at once can be dangerous. The attack leaves the Sea Beast stationary, creating a good opportunity to counterattack.
• If you need to heal, avoid moving too far away. Sea Beasts can still use Water Beam at long range, while staying closer encourages them to use Roar and Deadly Shower, which are generally easier to survive.
• Against Rumbling Waters or multiple Sea Beasts, use large AoE attacks to damage several targets at once and keep them from despawning. Focus on defeating one Sea Beast at a time, but occasionally hit the others with long-range attacks so they remain active.
• When your main abilities are on cooldown, use mobility or movement skills such as the [F] moves of Blizzard, Dough, Awakened Magma, or Mammoth to maintain damage.
• If you have water immunity, such as from Shark V2+, Ice, or Awakened Magma, lure the Sea Beast away from your boat so its attacks target you instead of your ship. This helps keep your boat intact for longer Sea Event sessions.
