Katana
Katana is a Common sword and is often one of the first weapons purchased by new players after obtaining the Cutlass. It provides a simple introduction to sword-based combat during the early stages of the game.
While it is sufficient for beginner progression, the Katana has slow attacks and offers very little that sets it apart from other early-game weapons. As players gain access to stronger swords, its effectiveness quickly declines.
The Katana is mainly useful during the first part of the First Sea. By around level 200, most players will have access to significantly better options, making the weapon largely obsolete for continued progression.
Obtainment:
The Katana can be purchased for $1,000 from the Sword Dealer
in Pirate Starter / Marine Starter.

Strengths & Weaknesses
A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.
Strengths
Good introductory sword for beginners.
Very cheap and easy to obtain.
Low mastery requirements allow new players to unlock its full moveset quickly.
Useful for players who do not yet have a Blox Fruit.
Both skills have AoE, making them somewhat helpful for early grinding.
Quiet Rush [Z] has a quick startup.
Air Slash [X] provides decent damage for its stage of the game.
Weaknesses
Cannot damage Blade-type users.
None of its moves break Instinct.
Very low damage output overall.
Long cooldowns despite having a weak moveset.
Quickly becomes obsolete as players progress.
The upgrade cost is unreasonable for its level range, requiring Angel Wings, a material obtained from much stronger enemies.
Quiet Rush [Z] has poor range.
Air Slash [X] is slow, has limited range, and is easy to dodge.
Verdict
Katana is a serviceable beginner weapon that fulfills its role during the earliest stages of the game but offers very little beyond that. Its low cost and mastery requirements make it accessible to new players, especially those without a Blox Fruit, but its lack of damage, poor scaling, and inability to counter Instinct severely limit its usefulness. While the sword can help players through the First Sea's early levels, it is outclassed almost immediately by stronger alternatives. Even its upgrade path is difficult to justify due to the expensive material requirements.
