Combat

Combat is the default fighting style every player starts with when first joining the game. It uses a simple hand to hand moveset centered around basic punches and short dash based strikes, making it the most straightforward and realistic fighting style in Blox Fruits.

While usable in the very early game, Combat is widely considered the weakest fighting style for both grinding and PvP. It lacks the damage, utility, range, and combo potential offered by other fighting styles, causing it to fall behind quickly as players progress.

Because of these limitations, players are strongly encouraged to upgrade to better First Sea fighting styles such as Dark Step, Electric, or Water Kung Fu as soon as possible. These alternatives provide significantly better performance and make progression much smoother.

Obtainment:
Obtained by default when starting Blox Fruits, once replaced with another fighting style, Combat cannot be relearned.

Strengths & Weaknesses

A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.

Strengths

  • Beginner-friendly and easy to use.

  • Low startup/end-lag makes moves safe to use.

  • Good combo extension thanks to fast Z.

  • X can break Instinct and create distance with knockback.

  • Decent crowd control due to AoE and knockback.

Weaknesses

  • Low overall damage output.

  • Only 2 skills, limiting combo variety.

  • Very short range; struggles against ranged/mobile opponents.

  • Slow M1 speed hurts pressure and grinding.

  • Poor mobility compared to most fighting styles.

  • Z has weak range and fixed direction.

  • X AoE is smaller than expected.

Verdict

Combat is a simple but outdated fighting style. Good for beginners and basic combos, but low damage, poor range, and limited moves make it fall behind quickly. Usable in early game, but should be replaced later.
