Triple Katana

Triple Katana is an Uncommon sword commonly used by First Sea players due to its low cost and cheap upgrade requirements. It serves as a solid early-game weapon, offering accessible melee damage without requiring a major investment.

The sword performs well for early grinding, especially for players who prefer sword-based progression over fruits or fighting styles. Its simple moveset and affordability make it a practical option during the early stages of the game.

Its main drawback is the dash on the fourth M1 attack, which can disrupt attack flow and slightly reduce farming efficiency by pushing the user out of position or away from grouped enemies. Because of this, while Triple Katana is decent for early progression, it becomes less effective compared to smoother grinding options later on.

Strengths & Weaknesses

A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.

Strengths

  • Affordable and beginner-friendly sword for early game.

  • Low mastery requirement- making it easy to unlock full moveset.

  • [Z] Air Slashes Barrage has quick startup, decent projectile speed, and AoE.

  • [Z] works as a solid combo starter in early First Sea.

  • [X] Violent Rush provides useful mobility and AoE damage.

Weaknesses

  • 4th M1 causes a dash, reducing grinding efficiency.

  • Swing speed is slower than Dual Katana with only slightly better damage.

  • Cannot damage Blade users.

  • Both [Z] and [X] have short range.

  • [X] has slight end-lag, making it punishable in PvP

Verdict

Triple Katana is a solid beginner weapon thanks to its affordable cost, low mastery requirement, and easy-to-use moveset. It provides decent AoE and combo utility for early progression, making it useful in First Sea for new players. However, its short range, poor grinding flow, and limited improvement over Dual Katana prevent it from standing out for long. Overall, it is a decent early-game sword but gets outclassed quickly as stronger weapons become available.
