Pole (2nd Form)
Pole (2nd Form) is a Legendary sword that was once a popular choice in many early combat builds due to its strong stun potential and relatively early availability.
While its crowd-control capabilities can still be useful, the sword has not aged well compared to newer options. It requires high mastery, suffers from significant endlag, and has poor attack range, making it less reliable in modern PvP and PvE content.
These limitations become more noticeable as players progress through the game. Although Pole (2nd Form) can still function as a combo tool, many swords offer better damage, greater range, and more consistent performance with fewer drawbacks.
As a result, weapons such as Dragon Trident and Cursed Dual Katana are generally preferred, as they provide stronger overall performance while being easier to use effectively.
Obtainment:
Pole (2nd Form) is obtained by bringing Pole (1st Form) into the Rough Sea and getting struck by lightning while holding the weapon. Upon a successful strike, the sword automatically transforms into its upgraded form.
When the transformation occurs, the following message appears:
"Your <Pole (1st Form)> has transformed upon reacting with the lightning... You obtained <Pole (2nd Form)>."
Unlike most weapon upgrades, obtaining Pole (2nd Form) does not require a quest or boss fight. Instead, players must rely on the unique lightning mechanic found in the Rough Sea, making it one of the more unusual sword upgrade methods in the game.
