Bisento

Bisento is a Legendary sword from the First Sea that remains powerful even in late-game content. Despite being an early-sea weapon, it is known for its extremely high burst damage and fast attacks, allowing it to compete with many popular Second Sea and Third Sea swords.

In PvP, Bisento is a strong choice for players with good aim and prediction. Its quick, hard hitting moves can punish mistakes heavily and deliver some of the highest burst damage among swords. This makes it especially dangerous in ground fights where landing clean hits is easier.

Its biggest weakness appears in air combat. Bisento has smaller hitboxes, especially on Quake Sphere, making it less reliable against airborne or highly mobile opponents. Compared to newer swords with wider hitboxes and easier tracking, it demands more precision to use effectively.

For progression, Bisento is widely considered the strongest sword in the First Sea and remains useful across all three seas. That power comes at a cost, as it is also the most expensive First Sea sword, priced at $1,000,000.

Obtainment:
Obtain by purchasing Bisento from the Master Sword Dealer at Skylands (4th island) for $1,000,000 at Lv. 250+, then unlock Version 2 by defeating Greybeard at Marine Fortress while having it in your inventory.

Strengths & Weaknesses

A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.

Strengths

  • Extremely high damage for a First Sea sword, making it strong even later in the game.

  • Great for grinding thanks to AoE + multi-target attacks.

  • Low mastery requirement, so it becomes useful early.

  • Both skills can be used back-to-back quickly, giving strong burst damage.

  • Very strong for sea events - deals huge damage to Sea Beasts, boats, and Terrorsharks.

  • Solid in PvP due to high raw damage.

  • Easy to upgrade since materials are relatively easy to obtain.

  • X move (V2) can break Instinct and trap enemies.

Weaknesses

  • Cannot hit Blade users, which is a major matchup weakness.

  • Has no true stun, making combos harder.

  • Moves are ground-based and have slow projectiles, so dodging is possible.

  • Slow M1 speed hurts close-range pressure.

  • Performs poorly in air combat.

  • V2 unlock is difficult if you’re below Lv. 700.

  • Z move is easy to Instinct dodge unless X is used first.

  • X (V1) is hard to land in PvP.

  • X (V2) deals damage over time instead of instantly, reducing burst.

Verdict

Bisento is a high-damage powerhouse and one of the best First Sea swords, especially for grinding and sea events. In PvP, it can hit very hard, but lack of stun, slow projectiles, and weak air combat make it somewhat predictable. Excellent for PvE, decent but matchup-dependent in PvP.
