Gravity Blade
Gravity Blade (called Gravity Cane before Update 24) is a Rare sword from the Second Sea and one of the easiest combo starters you can own. Its Z pulls nearby enemies toward your cursor and needs little aiming, and both of its moves can break Instinct.
Sword mains and Ice users like it for PvP. You earn it as a drop from Orbitus and can upgrade it once at the Blacksmith.

What moves does Gravity Blade have?
Open Moves for what each key does with a clip, Stats for the mastery you need with the sword to unlock each move, plus cooldown and energy, and Break for Instinct.
Instinct is the dodge ability. A move that breaks it hits through the dodge and switches Instinct off for about 5 seconds. Instinct-tricked means the target dodged the move anyway.

Reverses gravity and flings the target into the air, slashes it repeatedly for steady damage, then slams it back to the ground. It stuns on a clean hit but is not a true stun: a target that Instinct-tricks it can counter you. Works best as a finisher.

How do you get Gravity Blade?
Gravity Blade is a boss drop, not a shop item. Beat Orbitus in the Green Zone and repeat the fight until it drops.
- Where: the Green Zone island in the Second Sea, which the Bridge connects to Kingdom of Rose. When you land, walk straight: the Marine Quest Giver stands behind a rock, facing back toward you, and his third quest is Orbitus. From him, walk straight and then to the right to reach Orbitus.
- The boss: Orbitus is level 925 with 40,625 HP. His Orbitus quest, taken first, pays 25,000 Beli and 19,000,000 EXP.
- His attacks: Gravity Push shoves you away and Meteors Rain drops exploding meteorites. Both break Instinct, so do not rely on dodging them with it.
- The drop: Orbitus can drop Gravity Blade at a 3-5% chance, plus Meteorite, which you need for the upgrade.

How do you upgrade Gravity Blade, and what does it give?
Take the materials to a Blacksmith in Pirate Village, Kingdom of Rose or Port Town. A weapon can only be upgraded once, and you must upgrade it before you can enchant it. Scrap Metal drops from many ordinary enemies, such as Pirates, Brutes, Gladiators and Marine Captains, and farming Pirate Village in the First Sea with an area fruit is the usual way.

What are the best Gravity Blade combos?
Easiest first. Most chains open with Z, so land the pull first; the Ice chain is the exception.
Very easy: hit and run with Gravity
- Keys: Gravity Blade Z > Gravity Blade X > Gravity X (held until it stops) > Gravity Z
- Needs: the Gravity fruit.
- Tip: Gravity X closes the gap after Gravity Blade X, so the four moves stay connected.
Easy: Godhuman damage after the pull
- Keys: Gravity Blade Z > Godhuman X > Godhuman Z > Godhuman C > Gravity Blade X
- Needs: Godhuman.
- Tip: The basic Gravity Blade chain: pull first, let Godhuman do the damage, then finish with X.
Easy: Dragon Talon and Portal
- Keys: Gravity Blade Z > Dragon Talon X > Dragon Talon Z > Gravity Blade X > Portal Z > Dragon Talon C
- Needs: Dragon Talon and Portal.
- Tip: Portal Z teleports you back to the target after X, so Dragon Talon C can close the chain.
Easy: Ice and Sanguine Art
- Keys: Ice V > Ice C > Ice Z > Gravity Blade Z > Sanguine Art Z > Sanguine Art C > Sanguine Art X
- Needs: Ice with V and Z unlocked by awakening the fruit, Sanguine Art; fruit-main stats (most of your points in Blox Fruit).
- Tip: Ice leads this chain, so your fruit stats matter more than your sword stats here.
Easy to medium: Godhuman and Portal extension
- Keys: Gravity Blade Z > Godhuman Z > Portal Z > Godhuman X > Godhuman C (held) > Gravity Blade X
- Needs: Godhuman and Portal; sword-main stats (most of your points in Sword).
- Tip: Portal Z is hard to land right after Godhuman Z but gets easier with practice.
Gravity Blade strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
General
- Short cooldowns (7.5 s and 10.5 s), so you can pressure often.
- Works for sword-plus-fruit builds: the chains above pair it with a fruit or a fighting style.
- The upgrade materials are easy to get.
Dimensional Grasp (Z)
- Great combo starter: it pulls enemies toward your cursor and has a large hitbox.
Lunar Blitz (X)
- Decent damage, and a stun on a clean hit.
Weaknesses
General
- Cannot damage players using the Blade fruit.
- No movement move, so you cannot chase or escape with it.
- Short range apart from Z, which has a large area.
Dimensional Grasp (Z)
- Obvious when used, and its wind-up is fairly high.
- Pulling an opponent who is already mid-move (such as Godhuman Z) can get you hit.
Lunar Blitz (X)
- A tricked victim stays in the air and gets free space to escape your combo.
- Hard to extend afterward unless the next move closes the gap, as Gravity X or Portal Z do in the combos above: the target is far away when X ends, and its stun does not carry past the animation.
Verdict
Pick Gravity Blade if you want a combo starter for PvP that you farm from Orbitus rather than buy, especially with Ice, Godhuman or a sword build. Skip it if you need a sword that moves you around or if you often fight Blade fruit users.
Gravity Blade tips and tricks
- Turn off screen shake: the moves distort your field of view a lot, and many players disable shake while using this sword.
- Do not cast Z at a moving target: if they leave before the pull starts, you stand open and get punished. Open from a stun, or point it where they will be.
- Grow into X later: Z unlocks at 125 mastery and X at 250, so you have a working starter long before you have the finisher.
