Oroshi

Oroshi is a Legendary sword mainly used as a requirement for obtaining the True Triple Katana rather than as a standalone weapon.

It has no notable strengths in damage, range, or utility, and does not perform well in PvP or higher-level PvE. As a result, it is rarely used beyond early progression.

Most players keep it only for progression purposes and replace it as soon as better swords are available.

Obtainment:

Oroshi is obtained from the Legendary Sword Dealer for $2,000,000, making it part of a limited and time-dependent purchase.

The dealer spawns rarely in the Second Sea and only offers one of the three Legendary swords at a time, meaning Oroshi is not always available. Players often need to search or wait for the correct spawn, making it more about timing than difficulty to obtain.

Strengths & Weaknesses

A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.

Strengths

  • High damage with reliable output in Second Sea.

  • Long stun on [Z] Continuous Slashing, useful for starting combos or locking targets.

  • [X] Dragon Gust adds extra combo routes with decent range.

  • Works well with gun mains by holding enemies in place for tick damage.

  • Flexible for most playstyles and team fights due to stun utility.

Weaknesses

  • Cannot damage Blade users.

  • Forced dash on the fourth M1 can disrupt positioning.

  • [Z] Continuous Slashing has short range and knockback, making follow-ups inconsistent.

  • Vulnerable during [Z] due to endlag and interruptions like Cyborg or tick damage.

  • [X] Dragon Gust does not break Instinct.

  • Falls off in PvP compared to Third Sea and meta swords like Cursed Dual Katana.

Verdict

Strong for Second Sea grinding and basic PvP due to damage and stuns, but inconsistent combo flow and poor scaling make it a temporary option rather than a long-term pick.
