Sharkman Karate

Sharkman Karate is a fighting style available in the Second Sea and Third Sea, serving as the upgraded version of Water Kung Fu. It improves on its predecessor by offering stronger water based attacks, higher damage, and faster skill execution, making it a much more aggressive combat option.

Its biggest strength is combo performance. Sharkman Karate is widely regarded as one of the best fighting styles for combos because its moves are fast, easy to land, and deal significantly higher damage than Water Kung Fu. Most of its abilities also break Instinct, allowing it to pressure defensive opponents much more effectively in PvP.

Compared to Water Kung Fu, Sharkman Karate trades some grinding comfort for better combat pressure. Its upgraded moves make it much stronger in active fights, especially for players who prefer aggressive, combo-heavy playstyles.

Sharkman Karate is obtained by upgrading Water Kung Fu through the Sharkman Master NPC located at Submerged Island.

Strengths & Weaknesses

A quick breakdown of where this build shines and struggles.

Strengths

  • Very high damage with excellent combo potential across many builds.

  • Most moves break Instinct, making it strong in PvP against evasive players.

  • [Z] Twelve Water Palms - fast cast, short cooldown, decent mobility, and great for quick pressure.

  • [X] Pressure Vortex - arguably the standout move: long range, strong stun, controllable when upgraded, and the bubble can distort enemy vision.

  • [C] Great Sea Spear - strong combo starter/ extender, grabs multiple targets, and has quick startup.

  • Upgraded Water Shield gives strong protection against aggressive jumpers.

Weaknesses

  • Terrible M1s - bad hitboxes, long delays, awkward dash on 3rd hit, and unreliable without Buddha.

  • Suffers from poor mobility overall despite Z providing some movement.

  • Requires prediction and skill to consistently hit moving opponents at range.

  • Has noticeable Instinct issues, especially when opponents dodge key follow-ups.

  • [Z] Twelve Water Palms - short range, punishable endlag, and can bug under high ping.

  • [X] Pressure Vortex - slow projectile speed, single-target only, and bubble can sometimes fail to trap properly.

  • [C] Great Sea Spear - small range, no armor/I-frames, and high knockback hurts grinding efficiency.

  • Upgrade requirement is annoying since Headband (Black) is difficult to obtain.

Verdict

Sharkman karate is a powerful PvP focused fighting style with high damage, strong stuns, and excellent combo tools, especially thanks to Pressure Vortex and Great Sea Spear. Its biggest weakness is the awful M1s and limited mobility, so it feels less comfortable for general grinding unless paired with something like Buddha. If you’re skilled at prediction and combo chaining, this style is extremely rewarding.
