Rare Scroll

The Rare Scroll is the second-tier enchanting scroll in Blox Fruits. You give it to the Dragon Talon Sage to roll enchantments on a sword, gun or fishing rod. It sits between the Common Scroll and the Legendary Scroll. It suits players who have started enchanting and want more than Common Scrolls give, without the Leviathan materials that Legendary and Mythical Scrolls need.

What does the Rare Scroll do?

At the Dragon Talon Sage you pick a sword, gun or fishing rod, then a scroll, and the game rolls enchantments for it. The table sets the Rare Scroll against the other scrolls, so you can see what the extra rarity buys.

How do you get a Rare Scroll?

Crafting is the main route, and three free routes exist. Open each tab: Craft for the steps, Mats for where to farm, Other for the free scrolls. A Danger Level (0 to 6) is how far you sail from the Third Sea islands, and your compass shows it. Piranhas and Sharks both live in Levels 1 to 6, so one trip there gets you Electric Wing and Shark Tooth together.

Craft 10 Common Scrolls first, because that unlocks the Rare Scroll recipe. Those 10 cost 30 Fool's Gold and 20 Shark Tooth in total.

Craft the Rare Scroll from 5 Fool's Gold, 4 Shark Tooth and 2 Electric Wing. You can craft it again whenever you have the materials.

Catch the blue Diamond chest while fishing: it holds a random scroll, and roughly one in four is a Rare Scroll (an unconfirmed estimate). You get 3 Sunken Chests a day, or 6 with the Treasure Rod.

Boss gacha

Awakened Bosses are an hourly First Sea event. One boss awakens at the start of each hour if a player is nearby, and the Secrets Master tells you which one in the last 30 minutes of the hour. The ten are the Gorilla King, Chef, Yeti, Vice Admiral, Warden, Magma General, Fishman Lord, Sky Warlord, Lightning God and Cyborg. Each has its own mini-game to awaken it before you can hurt it. Deal at least 10% of its health and you earn one Awakened Boss Gacha roll with no cooldown. A roll can give scrolls, fruit boxes, Money, an EXP boost or the Royal Nimbus grand prize; the Rare Scroll is one of the lower prizes, and no odds are listed.

Rare Scroll strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

The materials come from the Second and Third Sea, with no Leviathan hunt needed, unlike Legendary and Mythical Scrolls.
