Treasure Rod
The Treasure Rod is a Legendary fishing rod you craft from the Angler in the Third Sea. Its job is chests: it raises how many Sunken Chests you can pull up each day from 3 to 6 (9 with an enchant). It is a late-game rod for players who already fish daily.

How do you get the Treasure Rod?
Treasure Rod crafting steps and materials
Fish until you reach fishing level 20. Then talk to the Angler on Hydra Island, by the river near the Hydra Leader spawn.

Pick the Quest option and finish quests: each one gives 1 Trust, and you need 45 Trust at this Angler plus fishing level 65. Quests are random: catch a fish of a set rarity, catch 3 fish in 2 minutes 5 seconds, land 3 perfect casts and 3 perfect reactions, or use a rod skill 3 times. Rod skills come from scroll enchants at the Dragon Talon Sage, so with no skill yet, abandon that job and take another. Accepting one starts a 15-minute wait even if you abandon it, and each sea's Angler keeps its own Trust. Keep your highest-tier rod equipped while you unlock the recipe, or the Angler will not unlock it. Once it is unlocked you can switch back to any rod.

Bring the three materials from the Items tab and pay the 3,000 Fragments. The Angler crafts the Treasure Rod on the spot.

What does the Treasure Rod do?
Sunken Chests appear at random as a golden icon on the fishing bar: slide the green bar over it to catch one. The Treasure Rod lifts the daily limit, and an enchant lifts it further. The Blessing of an Angler's Treasure is a random result when you use a scroll on the rod at the Dragon Talon Sage (top of the left tower in Tiki Outpost): 3% on a Legendary Scroll, 10% on a Mythical Scroll. A Legendary Scroll costs 5 Leviathan Scales, 3 Electric Wings (dropped by Piranhas), 1 Mutant Tooth (dropped by the Terrorshark) and 7 Fool's Gold there. A Mythical Scroll needs a Leviathan Heart to craft, so you can also find one in a Sunken Chest or buy it from the Sage for 500 Robux. See Enchantments for the other rod enchants. Open Loot to see what each chest holds.

Treasure Rod strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Three extra chests every 24 hours is 21 more chests a week, each paying out the Loot tab rewards.
- Crafting always works, while the Blessing of an Angler's Treasure is a random scroll result.
Weaknesses
- Needs 45 Trust, and with a 15-minute wait after each accepted quest that is at least 11 hours of waiting.
- It has no fish-luck or catch-speed bonus, so it does not help if you fish for Beli or fish collection rather than chests.
Verdict
Craft the Treasure Rod if you fish every day. Skip it if you fish only now and then: the extra chests come from the daily limit, so it gives nothing on days you do not fish.
Treasure Rod tips
- A chest you miss on the fishing bar does not count toward your daily limit, so keep trying until you catch one.
- Catch 500 Sunken Chests to earn the title Treasure Catcher. The game has no counter, so keep your own tally.
What changed in the Treasure Rod updates?
- Treasure Rod was added as a new Angler craft that lifts the daily Sunken Chest limit.
