Mastery is a progression system that unlocks additional abilities and improves the effectiveness of weapons, Blox Fruits, swords, and other combat items. Increasing mastery allows players to access stronger moves as they continue using an item in combat. Higher mastery levels also provide additional stat points, making frequently used items more powerful over time. Focusing on mastery for preferred weapons or abilities helps players improve their combat performance and unlock their full potential.

Obtainment:

Mastery is mainly gained by defeating enemies and bosses while using a weapon, Blox Fruit, or other item. Regular bosses usually provide a large amount of mastery when defeated, making them an efficient way to level up abilities. Raid bosses can also reward significant mastery, although not every raid boss provides mastery. Among regular bosses, Cake Queen gives one of the highest mastery rewards, while Longma is a faster option with a strong mastery reward compared to bosses with similar health.

Obtaining Tips:
First Sea:

Farm Galley Captains at Fountain City for efficient mastery gains, as they are easy to defeat and provide a reliable source of mastery.

Second Sea:
Server hop to find and defeat the Awakened Ice Admiral, which provides a high amount of mastery. The Smoke Admiral can also be used as an alternative, but it is less recommended due to higher player demand.

Third Sea:
Longma is one of the best mastery farming options because it has a fast respawn and is quicker to defeat compared to Cake Queen, making server hopping more efficient. Other options include defeating Kilo Admiral at Great Tree or farming enemies in Sea of Treats.

For group farming, Chocolate Land is one of the fastest methods by defeating Sweet Thiefs and Candy Rebels together with high-damage abilities. Fruits or weapons with large area attacks, such as Buddha or Magma, are effective for clearing groups quickly. Players can also farm Cocoa Warriors or Chocolate Bar Battlers as an alternative.

Another option is farming enemies at Haunted Castle, especially with Awakened Buddha or Quake for strong area damage. Awakened Quake’s V move can be used from the top of the castle to safely clear enemies.

Additional Information:
• Constantly server hopping to defeat bosses for mastery is usually slower than farming regular enemies, making enemy grinding the better method for gaining large amounts of mastery. However, Cake Queen gives the highest mastery reward from a boss, providing around 2,200,000 EXP without the 2x Mastery gamepass.

• The mastery bonus of the currently equipped item applies to all damage types, meaning switching from a lower-mastery item to a higher-mastery one during an attack can increase the damage dealt.

• The maximum mastery level for fighting styles, Blox Fruits, swords, and guns is 600, while fishing rods have a maximum mastery level of 100. Reaching these limits requires 348,679,374 EXP for mastery 600 and 1,006,076 EXP for fishing rod mastery 100.

• Mastery gain can be doubled by using the 2x Mastery gamepass. When an item reaches MAX mastery, its stats increase to 430.

• The highest mastery multiplier available is ×2.70, achieved by combining 2x Mastery, either the Party Hat or 50b Party Hat, and Efficient Level 4 on a sword or gun.
