Chef (formerly known as Bobby) is a Level 55 Boss encountered during the early stages of progression. He is designed to challenge players around Level 55, serving as a tougher opponent than the standard enemies found before him.
Chef primarily fights using Cutlass M1 attacks alongside the following Blade Fruit abilities:

  • [Z] Razor Cyclone

  • [X] Blade Dance

Additionally, Chef has a 25% chance to negate sword-based attacks, making Sword builds less effective during the fight.

Location

The Chef found in the Pirate Village, positioned outside the yellow house in front of the Brutes, making him an early mid-game target for players progressing through the area.

Quest

The players accept the quest from the Pirate Adventurer, which requires Level 55 and tasks them with defeating the Chef. Completing the quest rewards $8,000 and 45,000 EXP, making it a solid early leveling checkpoint for progression in the Pirate Village.

Drops

Chef drops $250–300, 900–1,100 EXP, and grants 1,375 Bounty/Honor, providing additional rewards for both leveling and PvP progression.

Abilities

Chef uses the Cutlass for his basic attacks, combining it with Blade Fruit abilities to pressure players with aggressive close-range combat.

Description
Chef forms blades on his arms before lunging forward, repeatedly slashing in a purple cyclone pattern. He frequently uses this move when the player is at a distance.
How to Avoid

Continuously dash left or right. The attack has a relatively small hitbox, making it easy to dodge with proper timing.

Description
Chef forms blades on his arms, spins rapidly, and creates a purple whirlwind of slashes around himself. The attack stuns nearby players and deals high damage.
How to Avoid

Keep your distance to avoid being caught in the attack's radius.

    • Bobby was reworked and renamed to the Chef, replacing the original boss identity.
    • The Chef’s fruit ability set was changed from Chop to Blade, shifting his combat style toward more aggressive fruit based attacks and increasing his overall threat level in close range fights.
