Prehistoric Island
Prehistoric Island is a rare sea event in the Third Sea and the only place that gives Dinosaur Bones and Dragon Eggs. Sail into Sea Danger Level 6 and it may appear, much more often if someone on your boat carries a Volcanic Magnet. On the island you play the Volcano Event: 5 minutes to keep the volcano's pressure down while Lava Golems try to smash the relic. The bones and eggs craft Dragonheart, Dragonstorm, the T-Rex Skull and the Dino Hood, and one egg unlocks the Draco race. Each egg also has a tiny chance to hand you a Dragon fruit, East or West.

Quick questions about Prehistoric Island
No. The lava on top of the volcano kills quickly even with Magma or Tiger equipped. Drink Lava Potions before the event instead.
No. One magnet anywhere in the sea exploration group raises the odds for everyone, and the driver does not have to be the one holding it. The Sentinel plan is the exception: there each of the 2 to 8 players carries one.
It is the common short name for Prehistoric Island, so a message like "PH spawned" means the island is up.
It is one of the Admin Abilities, named "Draconic Incandescence of the Vermilion Firmament". See Admin Abilities for the others.
Before Update 31.3 a bug hid the volcano pressure and the relic health. Without the meters, players guarded the relic completely and destroyed the lava as soon as it spawned.

The event lasts 5 minutes and has two jobs at once: close the volcano cracks, and keep the relic alive. Open Steps for the order, Rules for what counts.

How do you beat the Volcano Event?
Any move that breaks terrain can close a crack, and your stats make no difference. What decides it is who covers the golems and who covers the volcano.

What is the Prehistoric Cave?
The Prehistoric Cave sits below the Fossil Expert and stays closed until a Volcano Event is finished. Draco players use it to get V4 (the Race Awakening, see the Race Awakening guide) and upgrade it, and only one player per island can enter and take the Trial of Flames. A black door in the cave opens only for the Draco race.

- The spawn weighting of Prehistoric Island, and of the Frozen Dimension, was raised.
Update 24- December 14, 2024
- Prehistoric Island was added in the Dragon Update, with the Volcano Event, Fossil Expert, Volcanic Magnet, Dinosaur Bones and Dragon Egg.
