Sea Exploration Group is a boat-based feature introduced in Update 20 that shows the number of players currently aboard the same boat, including the user. It appears only when a player is near a boat. The feature is mainly useful for Sea Events, especially Leviathan hunting, as it helps players quickly check whether their group has enough members before attempting the encounter.

Function:

The Sea Exploration Group is used for coordinating players during Sea Events. A group of 5 or more players is required to interact with the Frozen Watcher (in Frozen Dimension) and summon the Leviathan. Having more players in the group can also increase the chance of certain Sea Events appearing and may increase the damage dealt by some events. It also allows multiple players to progress event cooldowns together. For example, if several players are waiting on cooldown and a Piranha event appears, one player defeating the enemies can count the event as completed for everyone in the group, as long as all players stay within the Sea Exploration Group's range.

Tips & Tricks:
Players can reduce their Sea Event cooldown by grouping with others who are also waiting for their cooldowns and completing events together. A player can take the driver role and allow other members to defeat the event enemies. While the driver may not receive event items due to constantly controlling the boat, they will still be counted as completing the event as long as they stay aboard. Drivers should avoid moving too far away from players fighting Sea Events, as leaving the group's range may prevent them from being counted as part of the Sea Exploration Group.
