The Dino Hood is a Legendary accessory from the Third Sea, crafted by the Fossil Expert on Prehistoric Island. It is built for fruit and melee players who dash a lot: one slot gives damage, run speed, long dashes, and extra Energy and Health, and only one accessory can be worn at a time. The recipe is the hard part.

How to craft the Dino Hood
How do you clear the Volcano Event for bones?
The event decides how fast you get your bones. These tips make finding the island and a clear safer and quicker.
- The island vanishes once every player leaves it, so stay on it until you have picked up the bones.
- On Floating Turtle, only six Mythological Pirates spawn, in the rocky hills behind the Forest Pirates, far apart except for three on one small hill. They use Aura, so elemental fruit users cannot dodge their hits, and they have a stun move. Use fruit moves for the tusk farm, such as awakened Magma or Buddha.
- Drink 4 Lava Potions before you touch the relic. They stop the lava damage on the island, but you still have to destroy the cracks and guard the relic.
- Bring one friend, so one of you keeps the pressure down while the other guards the relic. Solo is possible but hard, and the C move of an awakened Buddha, covers most of the volcano front.
- Skull Guitar's basic attack destroys objects and reloads faster than Bazooka or Cannon, so it is the best tool for the cracks. Any move that breaks objects works, and your stat points do not matter.
- Creation can raise walls that stop Lava Golems from reaching the relic.
How does the Dino Hood compare to the Dark Coat, Pilot Helmet and T-Rex Skull?
These three are the closest picks: the Dark Coat for fruit damage, the Pilot Helmet for running speed and the T-Rex Skull for defense (the only one of the three from the Fossil Expert).

Strengths
- The longest dash bonus of any accessory a player can get: +15, against +7 on the Kitsune Ribbon.
- Melee and Blox Fruit damage in the same slot, so one accessory covers a build that mixes fruit moves with fighting-style combos.
- Rabbit and Ghoul are the two races that also lengthen your dash, which makes them the natural partners.
Weaknesses
- It has no defense buff at all.
- The damage is +10%, below the Dark Coat's +15% for fruit users.
- It is hard to obtain: the island is rare to find and the clear is a timed fight.
Verdict
Pick the Dino Hood if you play fruit or melee and fight on foot, dashing between targets. Skip it if you main a sword or gun, or if you want defense: the T-Rex Skull from the same Fossil Expert gives 15% defense against melee and fruit hits for 8 Dinosaur Bones and 5 Dragon Scales.
