The Leviathan is a Raid Boss.

Summoning:

The Leviathan can be summoned by the Frozen Watcher.

Participation Requirement:

Players must deal at least 10% damage to each Leviathan segment to receive rewards. If this requirement is not met, no drops are granted. Dealing more than 10% does not increase Leviathan Scale rewards.

Total Leviathan Scales typically range from ~12–20 depending on segments destroyed and participation.

Additional Information:

  • Entering Frozen Dimension fully restores boat HP; Leviathan cannot damage boat there

  • After summoning, 20+ Sea Events (Piranhas/Sharks count) must be defeated to bribe Spy again

  • Leviathan Heart lasts 1 minute; Beast Hunter harpoon required or it will not spawn

  • Lightning appears after all segments are destroyed, increasing difficulty like Rough Sea

  • Boat cannot be repaired after Leviathan is defeated

  • Leviathan fills Race Awakening slower than Sea Beasts

  • Levi (fish) can also summon Leviathan with Curse of the Leviathan enchantment, but solo risk is high and Beast Hunter must be nearby for heart

  • Spy cooldown is individual and does not affect spawn

Leviathan Heart

  • The Leviathan Heart must be harpooned using the Beast Hunter's harpoon and brought to Tiki Outpost to obtain it.

  • The heart can be taken to Hydra Island's Waterfall to freeze the island (Freezing Hydra Island), but players will not be able to obtain it.

  • The heart has a lifespan of 1 minute.

  • Beast Hunter is required to obtain the Leviathan Heart; otherwise, it will not spawn.

  • If the player dies before or after the Leviathan is defeated, they will not receive the heart, even if they return. Sometimes the quest may appear, but the reward will not be granted.

  • Players may leave the boat without dying but must return and complete delivery before it reaches Tiki Outpost.

Behaviour

  • The Leviathan has four segments including the main body/head. The main body cannot take damage until all segments are destroyed.

  • It does not take damage from M1 attacks except:
    Dragon, Kitsune, Gas, Yeti, Tiger, Mammoth, Awakened Dough, Awakened Phoenix, Gravity, Explosive Guns.

  • It also does not take damage from single-target attacks except Magma [X] (Magma Eruption).

Tips

  • Cannot damage Leviathan if joining after cutscene triggers

  • Dragon Western Variant saddle can glitch boat onto Dragon to skip sea events like Terrorshark; keep driver or boat may despawn

  • Recommended 5+ players for success rate

  • Shipwright Subclass recommended for repairs

  • Use high HP boats (Lantern, Guardian) if no Beast Hunter; avoid fast boats like The Sentinel or Miracle

  • Do not fully repair boat before spawn; stop at ~2,000 HP

  • Search Beast Hunter when main body is at 10%–15% HP

  • Best sea team: Yeti, Awakened Buddha, Awakened Magma; alternatives Mammoth, Blizzard

  • Permanent Light helps regroup if separated

  • Fighting styles: Sharkman Karate, Death Step, Dragon Talon, Sanguine Art (best: Sanguine Art or Sharkman Karate)

  • Buddha users: Retribution Dash + Buddha Leap; awakened C AoE spam; Saber V2 or Shark Anchor

  • Kitsune Mask recommended for driver in Sea Danger Level 6

  • Use Pale Scarf to monitor bounty hunters; avoid islands on return

  • Deal ~18,750 damage per segment then switch targets for efficiency
