The Terrorshark is a Level 2000 raid boss that can appear during Sea Danger Levels 2-6 in the Third Sea. It is one of the main Sea Events and aggressively targets nearby players and their boats. As Sea Danger Levels increase, the Terrorshark becomes much more dangerous through higher damage and additional sharks, making higher danger zones significantly harder to survive.

Spawning:

The Terrorshark has a chance to spawn while sailing through Sea Danger Levels 2-6. Once it appears, it circles the player's boat and continuously attacks either the boat or nearby players until they are defeated.

As the Sea Danger Level increases, the Terrorshark deals more damage and is accompanied by more sharks, although its health remains unchanged. Danger Level 5 is generally considered the highest practical level to farm, as stronger variants become increasingly difficult to defeat beyond that point.

Players do not need to be moving for a Terrorshark to spawn. When one appears, a large boss health bar is displayed, the screen darkens, music begins playing, and players seated on a boat will eventually be knocked out of their seat by its splash attacks.

Occasionally, multiple Terrorsharks can spawn at the same time, making the fight considerably more difficult as their attacks can chain together and repeatedly stun players.

Anchored Terrorshark

An Anchored Terrorshark has a chance to appear if the player driving the boat has a Monster Magnet.

When activated, the Monster Magnet displays the message: "Your Monster Magnet has attracted an irregular beast..."

If the spawned Terrorshark has 195,000 HP, the player whose Monster Magnet was consumed is guaranteed to obtain the Shark Anchor after defeating it.

If multiple players carry a Monster Magnet, only one Magnet will be consumed and only that player becomes eligible for the Shark Anchor. The remaining Monster Magnets are not consumed.

Tips

  • Dash backward while using M1 attacks to damage the Terrorshark while reducing the chance of being hit.

  • Fighting in groups helps spread incoming damage and makes it easier to overwhelm multiple Terrorsharks.

  • Shark V2, V3, or V4 is highly recommended to reduce the risk of drowning after being knocked into the water.

  • Combining Shark V3/V4 with Leviathan's Armor provides excellent survivability against the Terrorshark's attacks.

  • Race Awakening greatly improves survivability through increased damage, defense, speed, and utility.

  • Awakened Buddha is one of the best options thanks to its large hitbox, water immunity, damage reduction, and ability to hit both Terrorsharks and surrounding sharks with M1 attacks.

  • While using Awakened Buddha, standing on rocks or attacking from above with ranged moves can prevent most of the Terrorshark's attacks from connecting.

  • Awakened Magma is highly effective. Attack from above using held Magma [Z], [V], and [C], while maintaining height with mobility skills such as Godhuman [Z]/[C].

  • Mammoth is a strong solo option for obtaining the Shark Anchor, although its lower damage can make fights longer.

  • Angel V4 can stay airborne and safely attack using Magma, while Angel V3 paired with Lei or Leviathan Crown greatly improves healing.

  • Blizzard, Love, Awakened Phoenix, and Gas are also effective choices for hunting Terrorsharks, with Gas capable of continuously stunning them using M1 attacks.

  • Soul Guitar provides reliable stuns that create additional damage opportunities.

  • Use a high-health boat whenever possible, especially during Sea Events.

  • During Leviathan hunts, players who are not steering should jump off to fight the Terrorshark while the driver moves the boat away.

  • If avoiding Terrorsharks during Leviathan hunts or other Sea Events, a Portal user can use Portal [V] to prevent attacks until the Terrorsharks despawn.

  • Kitsune users can transform and sprint away from their boat until the Terrorsharks despawn. Pilot Helmet and speed-boosting races such as Human, Rabbit, Shark, or Ghoul V2 further improve escape chances.

Abilities

The Terrorshark uses three powerful attacks focused on pulling players out of position, knocking them into the sea, and dealing heavy area damage.

Ability
Typhoon Splash
Description
  • Jumps out of the water before crashing down with a massive splash that pulls nearby players inward.

  • Breaks Instinct, deals heavy AoE damage, and knocks players back.

  • Used when the player is nearby and cannot be avoided with Instinct.

  • Creates a large explosion similar to the Shark Anchor's [Z] Typhoon Toss, but with a larger area of effect and stronger pull.

Ability
Squalus Dance
Description
  • Performs a rapid tail swipe combo when players are nearby or swimming.

  • Knocks players into the sea and can be especially dangerous when multiple Terrorsharks chain the attack together.

  • Similar to the Shark Anchor [X] move but with a much larger area of effect.

Ability
Super Charge
Description
  • Rushes toward a player at extremely high speed.

  • Explodes on contact, dealing heavy damage.

  • Unlike its other attacks, this move is not based on any Shark Anchor ability.
