Trial of Carnage

The Trial of Carnage is the race trial required to awaken the Ghoul race. It focuses on fast-paced wave combat where players must eliminate groups of undead enemies within a strict time limit. The challenge becomes more intense in later stages as enemy behaviour and trial scaling increase difficulty.

Mechanics:

Entering the Ghoul trial door inside the Temple of Time teleports the player into a closed room where waves of enemies spawn.

To complete the trial, the player must defeat all waves of Ancient Zombies and Ancient Vampires within 1 minute. Each wave consists of 5 Ancient Zombies, and the trial may include 2 to 4 waves in total.

Tips:

  • Use fruits that excel in crowd control such as Blizzard, Buddha, Magma, Venom, or Kitsune.

  • Grouping enemies together is highly effective, allowing AoE attacks to hit multiple targets at once.

  • Proper enemy grouping is also important for maximizing Ghoul’s lifesteal.

  • The Creation ability’s Build Mode can be used to trap or control enemy movement.

Recommended Loadouts:

Fruits

  • Buddha: Best overall option due to extended M1 range and synergy with fighting styles or swords, allowing extremely fast clears.

  • Shadow: High damage output with strong stun potential from [V], making waves easy to control.

  • Magma: Extremely high AoE damage, making wave clearing fast and efficient.

  • Sound: High damage and wide-range attacks that quickly clear grouped enemies.

  • Blizzard: Large AoE coverage with [V] plus strong stun and damage output.

  • Ghost: Summons help with additional damage, and its extra life provides safety.

  • Dragon: Multi-target M1 and skills like [Z] and [C] deal strong AoE damage, while [X] and [F] help reposition or escape.

  • Hallow Scythe: High damage output with low cooldowns and fast attacks.

  • Shark Anchor: Excellent range, damage, and knockback for controlling grouped enemies.

  • Dragon Trident: Strong AoE and stun effects; [Z] can push enemies away when needed.

Fighting Styles

  • Sanguine Art: Best overall due to strong M1 damage, lifesteal, and sustain.

  • Dragon Talon: Strong M1s and AoE skills; [X] and [C] provide crowd control, while [Z] helps reposition.

Additional Information:

  • The trial can be restarted if the Full Moon is active.

  • Each completed gear replacement or upgrade increases the difficulty of subsequent trials.

  • Race Awakening has no long-term effect during trials, as the awakening progress resets after completion.

  • Enemies in this trial do not drop Money or Experience.

  • All enemies have Aura, allowing them to bypass Elemental Immunity.

  • Enemies can use Flash Step, making unpredictable movement and dodging ineffective.

  • A known glitch may occur if another player fails their trial during an active session, causing remaining enemies to become invincible and persist, making future attempts harder.
