A Full Moon is a recurring world event that takes place every eight in-game nights, making it a predictable event that players can plan around. On a new server, the first Full Moon appears about 54 minutes after the server is created, with each Full Moon occurring roughly every 180 minutes afterward.

Usage:

A Full Moon is required for several time-gated activities and can also be used to estimate a server's age. Since it only occurs at night after a set amount of server uptime, players often use it as a rough indicator for when the Cursed Captain may be able to spawn in the Second Sea. It is also required or directly involved in several pieces of content, including the Full Moon Egg and Night Hunter Egg during the Easter Event 2026, Race Trials, the Skull Guitar Puzzle, and the appearance of Kitsune Island in the Third Sea.
