Hungry Man Quest
The Hungry Man Quest is a special quest that allows players to unlock Instinct V2. Players must complete several requirements, collect fruits from different islands, and prepare a fruit bowl before they can purchase the upgrade.
Requirements
To start the quest, players must have:
Level 1801+
Completed the Citizen Quest
Obtained the Musketeer Hat accessory
5,000 Instinct EXP
$5,000,000
If the player does not meet the requirements (except money), the Hungry Man will say:
"Go away, weakling."
Step 1 – Talk to the Hungry Man
Travel to the Floating Turtle and find the Hungry Man inside one of the pineapple houses.
He will ask the player to collect three fruits:
Apple
Banana
Pineapple
Step 2 – Collect the Fruits
The three fruits can be found at different locations:
Apple
Found on the Floating Turtle.
Located on top of a hill near the Hungry Man.
Banana
Found at the Great Tree.
Located on the closest hill to Hydra Island.
Pineapple
Found at Port Town.
Located near a stall in the rightmost corner.
Note: One fruit spawns every 10 minutes.
Step 3 – Create the Fruit Bowl
After collecting all three fruits:
Talk to the Citizen on Floating Island, Third Sea.
The Citizen will place the fruits into a Fruit Bowl.
Important: The player must have the Musketeer Hat accessory for the Citizen to create the bowl.
If the player tries to give the Hungry Man the three fruits without making the bowl, he will say:
"Nice, you found three fruits, but I'm a picky person. I want to eat this in a bowl, can you do that for me?"
Step 4 – Unlock Instinct V2
Return to the Hungry Man with the Fruit Bowl.
After giving him the bowl:
The player will be able to purchase Instinct V2.
Instinct V2 can be purchased for $5,000,000.
It is recommended to save money for Instinct V2 after reaching Level 1800 due to its high cost.
Portal's [C] World Warp ability makes this quest easier by allowing faster travel between islands.
After giving the Hungry Man the Fruit Bowl, players can purchase Instinct V2 at any time.
Players cannot eat the required fruits during the quest.
Be careful while carrying fruits:
Dying with any fruit will cause the player to lose it.
The quest must then be repeated.
A Private Server is recommended.
A fast way to farm Instinct EXP:
Use all Instinct dodges.
Server hop.
Repeat the process.
Reaching 5,000 Instinct EXP grants the Ultra Instinct (#72) title.
Instinct EXP can be checked by speaking to the Instinct Teacher in the First Sea.
The Fruit Bowl can sometimes be obtained before speaking to the Hungry Man.
Due to an unknown glitch, the Fruit Bowl may remain in the player's hotbar after completing the quest.
