How Neon and Mega Neon Work

4 FULL GROWN PETS = 1 NEON

4 LUMINOUS NEONS = 1 MEGA NEON

MADE IN THE NEON CAVE

A Neon is a pet that glows on parts of its body, and a Mega Neon is a Neon whose glow cycles through colors. You make a Neon from 4 Full Grown pets of the same kind, and a Mega Neon from 4 Luminous Neons of the same kind. Both are made in the Neon Cave.

Yes. An Age-Up Potion gives a pet 30 tasks, which moves it toward Full Grown (or Luminous) faster.

From a normal pet to a Mega Neon

Every Neon starts as a normal pet. Fuse 4 Full Grown pets of the same kind and you get 1 Neon. Age four Neons of that kind to Luminous and fuse them to get 1 Mega Neon. Here is the Giant Panda at each step.

How do you make a Neon pet?

The Age-Up Potion in Adopt Me, a glass bottle holding a glowing orange arrow

The Age-Up Potion.

STEP 1

Age four pets of the same kind to Full Grown

A pet ages Newborn, Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen, Post-Teen, then Full Grown. You can do tasks to age a pet up, or trade for a Full Grown pet. An Age-Up Potion gives a pet 30 tasks.

STEP 2

Go to the Neon Cave

Place the four pets on the glowing circles around the edge of the platform. The cave is under the main bridge (see below).

STEP 3

Watch them fuse

The four pets become one Neon, which glows on certain parts of its body. The color of the glow is different for each pet; the Parrot and the Unicorn, for example, glow in several colors.

A pet has to be Full Grown. If you place a pet that is not, a message tells you pets must be fully grown to fuse their spirits. If one of the four had a friendship level above 0, that level is added to the new Neon's friendship bar.

Where is the Neon Cave?

The Neon Cave is under the main bridge that connects Adoption Island and the Neighborhood. The NPC there is Nixie; talk to Nixie to hear what the cave is for.

How do you make a Mega Neon?

A Neon Owl in Adopt Me

A Neon pet: it can be aged on to Luminous.

STEP 1

Age four Neons of the same kind to Luminous

Neon pets use their own age names (listed below), and Luminous is the last one.

STEP 2

Place the four Luminous Neons

Put them on the circles in the Neon Cave, the same way as before.

A Mega Neon glows in the same places, but its colors cycle.

STEP 3

They fuse into one Mega Neon

It glows in the same places as the Neon, but its colors cycle through the rainbow. Some pets, such as the Evil Unicorn, cycle only through colors that belong to that pet.

A Mega Neon cannot be fused again: the cave tells you it has already fused spirits and is already Mega Neon. There are no Neon tiers after Mega Neon. You can change a Mega Neon's colors with Mega Neon Pet Paints in the Salon.

What are the Neon age names?

A Neon pet has its own name for each growing stage. The number of tasks to reach the next stage is the same as for the matching stage of a normal pet: for example, a common pet needs 3 tasks to go from Newborn to Junior, so a common Neon needs 3 tasks to go from Reborn to Twinkle.

Reborn

= Newborn

Twinkle

= Junior

Sparkle

= Pre-Teen

Flare

= Teen

Sunshine

= Post-Teen

Luminous

= Full Grown

The last stage

After a Neon reaches Luminous, its friendship level can keep going up without limit.

Do Fly and Ride carry over?

FLY

RIDE

KEPT BY THE NEON AND THE MEGA NEON

Yes. When one of the pets you fuse can fly, ride, or both, the Neon you get can too, and so can the Mega Neon made from it. Fuse a pet that already has the abilities you want, because the result inherits them.

How does the Age-Up Potion help?

An Age-Up Potion gives a pet 30 tasks. That works on a normal pet on its way to Full Grown and on a Neon on its way to Luminous. The higher the rarity of the pet, the more tasks it takes to age up.
