Empyrean Fruit is a Mythical mutation of Kitsune Fruit with red flames and a held Z that hits extremely hard. On our value list it trades at 8000000000 (demand 9). Suits Bounty hunting and grinding: M1 and C hit whole groups, and untransformed is the PvP form.

What moves does Empyrean Fruit have?
Empyrean Fruit has an M1 in both forms: flame slashes whose fourth hit pulls enemies in.
Empyrean Fruit's abilities
- Cooldown: 0.5 s
Slashes of red flame travel forward; the fourth whirls and pulls nearby enemies into one spot for much less damage. Holding 3 tails stretches the first three slashes and makes them burn.

Tap fires a short red beam for low damage that does not break Instinct. Hold to spin up a ring of red letters, then aim a slow beam for extremely high damage.

How does Empyrean Fruit transform?
Fill the Tails meter to 3 tails, then cast V, Transformation, to turn Empyrean Fruit into a full Kitsune. It needs 300 mastery, spends 20 energy plus 30% of the meter, and has a 2 s cooldown.
Transformed, Heavenly Fox Fur adds 20% damage reduction, speed and shorter cooldowns, and you can run on water or carry an ally. While you are a Kitsune, no style, sword or gun can be used; V brings them back.

Easy to medium: Stun into explosion
- Keys: Gravity Blade Z > Godhuman Z > Godhuman C > Tails of Burning Agony (Empyrean X) > Burstfire Cannon (Empyrean C).
- Needs: Gravity Blade, Godhuman; 100 mastery (C).
- Tip: The zig-zag X stuns for about 0.65 s, long enough for Burstfire Cannon C to land its large explosion.
Easy to medium: Grab chain, held beam
- Keys: Godhuman C, held > Spikey Trident X > Godhuman X > Godhuman Z > Wild Assault (Empyrean F) > Tails of Burning Agony (Empyrean X) > Sweeping Firestorm (Empyrean Z, held).
- Needs: Godhuman, Spikey Trident; 200 mastery (F).
- Tip: Turn off screenshake so the Godhuman C hold flows into Spikey Trident X; finish with a held Sweeping Firestorm Z for its huge damage.
Medium: Cannon, stun, grab, beam tap
- Keys: Sanguine Art C > Burstfire Cannon (Empyrean C) > Tails of Burning Agony (Empyrean X) > Yama X > Sanguine Art Z > Wild Assault (Empyrean F) > Sanguine Art X > Sweeping Firestorm (Empyrean Z, tapped).
- Needs: Sanguine Art, Yama; 200 mastery (F).
- Tip: Burstfire Cannon C releases fast with a slight stun, so it follows Sanguine Art C cleanly, and the closing Z is only tapped.
Hard: Zig-zag, cannon, slash finish
- Keys: Sanguine Art C > Tails of Burning Agony (Empyrean X) > Burstfire Cannon (Empyrean C) > Cursed Dual Katana X > Cursed Dual Katana Z, held > Sanguine Art Z > Wild Assault (Empyrean F).
- Needs: Sanguine Art, Cursed Dual Katana; 200 mastery (F).
- Tip: Once Cursed Dual Katana X lands, face backwards, hold its Z, and Wild Assault F then opens room for M1s.
Empyrean Fruit's strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
Untransformed
- Speed jumps above 2 tails, and the passive's flames can break Instinct.
- M1's fourth hit pulls a crowd together and C explodes over an area, which suits grinding.
- X has a strong stun and good combo potential.
Transformed
- C hits for heavy damage across a wide area at long range, with almost no wind-up.
- Mobility is very good: Tread of the Highest Heaven walks on water and Empyrean Mount carries an ally.
Weaknesses
Untransformed
- Z gives range but leaves you open to counters from Tiger, Dragon, Lightning and Kitsune itself.
- Every move spends Tails meter, and untransformed you have only one movement ability.
- V needs 300 mastery, tracked apart from Kitsune's, which can stall low-level players.
Transformed
- Only C covers enough area for runners and sky campers, so untransformed is the better PvP form.
- Held C has a meter cost of 75% and never refills it, and its cutscene can lag your game.
Verdict
Pick Empyrean Fruit for Bounty hunting and grinding when you can reach its mastery. Skip it if you lean on swords, guns or fighting styles, which stay locked until V returns you to normal.

- Kitsune's Mutations section: Permanent Kitsune owners can buy Empyrean Fruit from Kitsune's own Mutations listing; without Permanent Kitsune, that route is closed.
- Winter 2025 events: Rolling the limited Winter 2025 Fruit Box (as the Galaxy skin) and buying the Fox Spirit Bundle in the 2025 Christmas Event are both offsale.
- Trading: Trades happen at the Mansion in the Third Sea or the Cafe in the Second, and a Permanent fruit must be in your Inventory first.

How is Empyrean Fruit different from Kitsune Fruit?
Empyrean Fruit mutates Kitsune Fruit: the flames turn red, and the M1s, Z and transformed C are its own. At 3 tails or transformed, its first three M1s push enemies forward like Dragon's instead of grabbing them as Kitsune's do. It outperforms plain Kitsune in nearly every way, with the catch that Tiger, Dragon, Lightning and plain Kitsune can counter Z.

What changed in Empyrean Fruit's updates?
Empyrean Fruit first shipped with Update 29.1, on Dec 25, 2025. Last change: Update 29.6 (Aug 7, 2026).
- Empyrean was nerfed: tapped Z stopped breaking Instinct, held Z lost 30% damage, X channels on hit and C end-lag grew by 0.3 s.
- Empyrean launched as a Kitsune mutation with the Galaxy and Crimson skins; transformed Z gained end-lag and transformed C gained a tap projectile.
Is Empyrean Fruit good?
- PvP: Empyrean Fruit is strong untransformed, with held Z doing the damage. Transformed, it struggles against runners and sky campers, and X is hard to land.
- Grinding: Excellent in all three seas: M1 and C hit groups, so it grinds almost as well as Buddha.
- Sea Events: Works against Sea Beasts: few fruits can damage them, and Empyrean is among them, in both base and full form.
- Raids and bosses: Good in Dungeons: it plays like Kitsune, and Z Sweeping Firestorm is one of its top damage dealers.
The catch is access: a physical Empyrean is almost impossible to get free, so the realistic routes are Kitsune's Mutations listing, which needs Permanent Kitsune, or trading.
