Most hatches are Common (59.75%) or Uncommon (35%), and the Legendary chance is 0.26%.

How do you get the Basic Egg?
Basic Egg
Release pets for Tickets, then spend 400 of them on the egg.
Earn Tickets. Talk to Jane at the Pet Releaser, in the Nursery across from the VIP room, and release pets. A normal Common pet pays 100 Tickets, an Uncommon 125, a Rare 150, an Ultra-Rare 300 and a Legendary 900. Neon and Mega Neon pets pay far more, and a flyable pet adds 300 Tickets and a rideable pet adds 150. Released pets are gone for good.
Buy the egg. Spend 400 Tickets on a Basic Egg.
Trade for a Basic Egg, or a pet from it on Adopt Me's trading system.
Hatch it. Do tasks with the egg until it opens, or skip them with the Hatch Now! gamepass, which hatches an egg at once for 35 Robux.
Basic Egg history
- The Strawberry Tortle replaced the Silverback Gorilla, and the Kiwi Kiwi replaced the Emberlight. The Silverback Gorilla and the Emberlight can only be traded for from then on.
- The Giant Panda left the Basic Egg and the Crystal Egg after being in them since September 12, 2025, and the Silverback Gorilla took its place.
- The Pet Releaser began paying Tickets instead of Points. The Basic Egg's price changed from 500 Points to 400 Tickets.
- Its odds changed too. Before, it was 60% Common, 35% Uncommon, 4% Rare and 0.99% Ultra-Rare, with a 0.01% chance of a Giant Panda as its only Legendary. Now several Legendary pets share a small chance.
- Added to the game together with the Pet Releaser.
