Power Meter

Power Meters are passive energy bars in Blox Fruits that act as requirements for transformations, awakenings, and enhanced abilities. In some rare cases—especially with Variable Fruit Meters like Spirit—they behave very differently from standard meters. Overall, they track how far a player has progressed toward unlocking stronger abilities or a fruit’s final form, often granting buffs when filled.

They are divided into three main types:

  • Fury Meter

  • Awakening Meter

  • Variable Fruit Meters

Fury and Variable Fruit Meters are often grouped together as “Fruit Meters” since both are directly tied to Blox Fruits.

Fury Meter

Fury Meters are one of the most common types of Power Meters. On average, they take about 1 minute and 30 seconds to fully charge from empty, although each fruit has its own variation with different mechanics.

Fruits that use Fury Meter:

  • T-Rex

  • Venom

  • Dragon

T-Rex

T-Rex uses a fairly standard Fury Meter system, which many transformation-based fruits follow:

  • Fills passively over time

  • Charges faster when dealing damage with abilities

  • Transformation becomes available once the meter is full

While transformed:

  • Meter drains only when using moves (not passively or from M1 attacks)

  • Meter can be regained by dealing damage

  • Taking damage reduces a small portion of the meter

  • Transformation ends automatically when the meter is empty

Venom

Venom’s Fury Meter works differently compared to most:

  • Starts with 50% meter already filled

  • Fills passively, but cannot be increased by dealing damage

  • Transformation is available when the meter is full

While transformed:

  • Meter drains continuously over time

  • Using moves drains additional meter

  • Transforming consumes a large portion of the meter

  • Taking damage restores a small amount of meter

  • Transformation ends when the meter reaches zero

Dragon

Dragon’s Fury Meter is similar to T-Rex but has extra stages:

  • Fills passively and faster when dealing damage

Stages:

  • Full (Orange): Allows transformation into a hybrid form (large size, similar to unawakened Buddha)

  • Full (Rainbow): Allows full Dragon transformation (Eastern or Western variant)

While transformed:

  • Meter drains when using moves (including M1), but not passively

  • Meter can be regained by dealing damage

  • Taking damage reduces a small amount of meter

  • Transformation ends when the meter is empty

Awakening Meter

Awakening Meters are only used for Race Awakening and track experience needed to transform.

Key features:

  • Default color is bright red

  • When full, the screen gains a faint tint based on race:

    • Human – Red

    • Rabbit – Green

    • Angel – Yellow

    • Shark – Blue

    • Cyborg – Purple

    • Ghoul – Black

    • Draco – Orange

  • Located at the bottom-left of the screen

When activated ([Y] key or Awakening Slot):

  • Meter drains rapidly

  • Bar cycles through neon rainbow colors

  • Smoke effects appear

Unique / Variable Fruit Meters

Variable Fruit Meters are unique systems tied to specific fruits. They usually provide buffs like increased damage, visual changes, or special mechanics, and sometimes transformations. Each one behaves differently.

Eagle – Feather Meter

  • Fills passively when not flying

  • M1 attacks always consume meter

  • Cannot be refilled by dealing damage

  • Flight can be used even without a full meter

  • Can be upgraded to last longer

Image

Creation – Build Meter

  • Tracks how many structures are placed using [F] Fortify

  • Starts at zero and increases with each block placed

  • Fills slower in Private Servers

  • Once full, no more structures can be placed unless some are removed

Image

Sound: Tempo Meter

  • Builds by landing moves or holding Tempo: Prestissimo ([F])

  • Starts white, turns gold when full

At full charge:

  • All moves turn golden

  • Grants buffs:

    • ~50% speed

    • ~25% defense

    • ~10% damage

  • Buff applies to nearby allies as well

  • Effect disappears after ~10 seconds without dealing damage

Pain: Pain Meter

  • Fills when taking damage or collecting Pain Ghosts

  • At full meter:

    • Ignites with red flames

    • Enters a rage state with significantly increased damage

Special case:

  • If the user dies, the meter fully charges

  • Activates a “last breath” state with extremely high damage

Gravity – Gravitational Force

  • Unlockable via Mysterious Scientist upgrades

  • Fills only by dealing damage

  • Slowly drains when inactive

Effects:

  • Does not increase damage or range

  • Allows use of ultimate moves ([C] and [V]) when enough meter is available

Image

Shadow – Umbra Meter

  • Fills by landing moves and passively at night

  • Enhances [V] Corvus Torment

Effects:

  • Larger meter = bigger and stronger attack

  • Using the move drains the entire meter

  • Adds a dark aura (cosmetic)

Image

Gas – Gas Meter

  • Functions similarly to Fury Meter

  • Fills passively or through damage

  • Used for transformation

Image

Spirit – Spirit Counter

  • Does not function like a normal meter

  • Generates Spirits over time as the bar cycles

Key points:

  • Up to 9 Spirits can be stored

  • Spirits are used via M1 attacks

  • Type of summon depends on meter position (blue or red side)

  • Shu (blue) and Ra (red) represent the sides

  • Used to summon companions for damage and stun support

Hellish Buddies (Offensive Buddies)

Tiger – Fire Meter

  • Builds during transformation (faster when attacks land)

Thresholds:

  • 75%: Unlocks enhanced [C] move

  • 100%: Enables Blazing Form

Image

Kitsune – Tail Meter

  • Fills passively and by dealing damage

  • Has 3 stages:

    • 1 Tail: No bonus

    • 2 Tails:

      • +100% speed

      • Improved dash and movement animations

    • 3 Tails:

      • Grants flame orbs that deal burn damage

Additional mechanics:

  • Meter darkens as it fills, then turns rainbow at max

  • Full meter allows transformation (costs 1/3 meter)

While transformed:

  • Tails can only be regained by dealing damage

  • Missing attacks or taking damage removes tails

  • Transformation ends when all tails are lost

Control – Mode Meter

  • Active only within the Control domain

Tracks:

  • Current mode (Dagger or Fist)

  • Progress toward [V] Total Concentration (held)

Key points:

  • Fills passively at a fixed rate

  • Not affected by dealing or taking damage

  • Resets and disappears when the domain ends

Tips

  • Return to base form after using about 3/5 of Fury Meter to recharge faster

  • This does not apply to Dragon, which requires damage to refill its red meter

  • Missing abilities wastes meter—accuracy matters

  • Use abilities efficiently during transformation

Notes:

  • Most fruits drain meter over time while transformed

  • Dragon only drains meter when attacking or taking damage

  • Kitsune Mask helps increase Fury gain (less effective for Dragon’s red meter)

Additional Information

  • Only Dragon, Venom, and T-Rex use Fury Meters

  • Transformation requires a full meter

  • Abilities consume significant meter while transformed

  • Most forms also drain meter over time (except T-Rex and Dragon)

Special mechanics:

  • T-Rex was the first fruit to regenerate meter while transformed by dealing damage

  • Dragon also has this ability

  • Previously, Dragon (classic) could gain meter by taking damage

  • Rapid transformation cycling is not possible

Exception:

  • Phoenix does not follow this system and behaves differently
