Trading only
The Japan Egg is a limited legendary egg in Adopt Me that holds 12 pets, from the Common Dugong to the Legendary Baku and Maneki-Neko. It went on sale in the Gumball Machine on September 8, 2022 for 750 Bucks and left on March 2, 2023, when the Southeast Asia Egg replaced it. Today the only way to get a Japan Egg is to trade for one.

How do you get the Japan Egg?

Japan Egg
Trading is the only way now.
Trade for a Japan Egg, or a pet from it on Adopt Me's trading system.
Hatch it. Do tasks with the egg until it opens, or skip them with the Hatch Now! gamepass, which hatches an egg at once for 35 Robux.
Spot it in a trade. It looks like a glowing lantern: a round yellow middle with fold lines and small golden flowers, gray caps on the top and bottom, and a bright yellow glow around it.
Japan Egg in the Gumball Machine rotation
The Gumball Machine in the Nursery sells one limited Legendary egg at a time and swaps it every few months. The Japan Egg was on sale for 175 days.
