The Hellfire Torch is an in game item with a progression focused role. At its core, it is treated as a key utility item rather than a combat tool, meaning it does not function as a weapon or direct damage source, but instead exists to support specific game progression systems or unlock requirements.

Obtainment:

The Hellfire Torch can be obtained by defeating the Cursed Captain. However, players must be Level 1000 or higher for the item to have a chance of dropping. The drop is not guaranteed, so multiple defeats of the Cursed Captain may be required before the Hellfire Torch is obtained.
Usage:
The Hellfire Torch is used to unlock the Ghoul race. After obtaining the item, it can be given to Experimic
along with 100 Ectoplasm to complete the race unlock requirement.
Additional Information:
• The Hellfire Torch cannot be stored, meaning it is lost if the player dies or leaves the game before using it.

• The Hellfire Torch can only be given to Experimic if the player has 100 Ectoplasm.

• If the player obtains the Hellfire Torch before collecting 100 Ectoplasm, they must keep the item safe until they have enough currency to complete the exchange.

• After the Hellfire Torch has been given to Experimic, players never need to obtain another one to unlock the Ghoul, even after resetting or rejoining the game.

• To reduce the risk of losing the Hellfire Torch, it is recommended to collect 100 Ectoplasm before farming the Cursed Captain, allowing the item to be turned in as soon as it drops.
