Rumbling Waters
Rumbling Waters

Rumbling Waters is a Sea Event that spawns three Sea Beasts at the same time, creating one of the most difficult encounters on the open sea. Unlike a normal Sea Beast fight, players must deal with multiple powerful enemies at once, making the event far more dangerous for solo players and small groups.
Spawning:
Rumbling Waters can only occur in the Third Sea and may appear at any Sea Danger Level from 1 to 6 while sailing. It cannot spawn in the Second Sea, making it exclusive to players exploring the Third Sea's waters.
Sea Beasts:
When Rumbling Waters begins, three Sea Beasts spawn simultaneously. Like regular Sea Beasts, their maximum health scales with the number of players who triggered the event, so larger groups will face tougher enemies. While having more players makes the fight easier to coordinate, it also increases the durability of each Sea Beast.
Drops:
Each Sea Beast in Rumbling Waters has its own reward pool, so players receive drops separately for every Sea Beast they defeat rather than a single combined reward for the event. Defeating all three Sea Beasts awards a total of 450 Fragments, 3 levels, and up to 750,000 Money with the 2x Money Gamepass, depending on the player's level. Players with the Shipwright subclass also earn 1,050 Valor for clearing all three. In addition, each Sea Beast has a chance to drop the Choppa or Top Hat.
• Stay behind the Sea Beast you are targeting whenever possible. This can cause the Deadly Shower attacks from the other two Sea Beasts to hit it instead of you, reducing the damage you take.
• Equip accessories such as the Shark Tooth Necklace or Leviathan Crown to increase your damage output during the fight.
• High damage Blox Fruits with strong water performance are the most effective choices. Dragon, Magma, Flame, Venom, Buddha, Blizzard, Sound, Bomb, Ice, Dough, Gas, and Mammoth all perform well thanks to their damage, survivability, or ability to attack while on or near the water.
• Fighting alongside other players is recommended, as dealing with three Sea Beasts at once is much easier in a group.
• Bomb can solo Rumbling Waters effectively, as its C move can hit all three Sea Beasts at once when used from the center of the fight.
• Focus on defeating one Sea Beast at a time instead of splitting your damage between all three.
• Large area attacks, such as Dragon Trident's X move, can damage multiple Sea Beasts simultaneously and charge the Race V4 meter much faster. Position yourself between the Sea Beasts to maximize this effect.
• Mammoth's transformed F move is particularly effective for dealing heavy damage in the water. Pairing it with Shark V2 or higher provides water immunity, making the strategy much safer.
• Compared to regular Sea Beasts, the Sea Beasts in Rumbling Waters deal about 60% less damage, while their health is reduced by only about 10% depending on the number of participating players. This makes the encounter longer but generally less punishing than fighting three normal Sea Beasts separately.
Additional Information:
• Multiple Sea Beasts can occasionally spawn together naturally, but this is not considered a Rumbling Waters event unless the message appears at the top of the screen.
• A Sea Beast's Deadly Shower projectiles can be blocked by standing behind another Sea Beast, allowing its hitbox to act as a shield.
• In rare cases, two Rumbling Waters events can occur at the same time, resulting in up to six Sea Beasts attacking simultaneously and making the encounter significantly more difficult.
