Aura

Aura (formerly called Enhancement) is a core ability that coats parts of the player's body in black armor, increasing both damage and defense during combat. Its most important benefit is allowing attacks to hit players and NPCs protected by an Elemental Fruit's Elemental Reflex, making it essential for fighting many enemies as you progress.

Aura is easy to obtain, inexpensive, and remains useful throughout the game, making it one of the first abilities every player should unlock. It improves performance in both PvE and PvP by increasing survivability and ensuring your attacks remain effective against Elemental users.

Aura can be toggled on or off at any time. The default controls are J on PC, Down on the D-Pad on console, and the fist button on mobile.

Obtainment:

Aura can be purchased for $25,000 from the Ability Teacher, who can be found inside the Frozen Village cave or at Magma Village. Once unlocked, Aura can be activated and used permanently across the game.

Aura Leveling:
Aura gains experience while it is active and levels up over time. You earn 1 Aura EXP each time you damage an enemy with a sword, gun, or fighting style, or take damage while Aura is active. Attacks made with Blox Fruits, including fruit-based M1 attacks, do not grant Aura EXP. Taking damage also does not award EXP if you are protected by Elemental Reflex.

As Aura levels up, it progresses through five stages that unlock new visual appearances and provide stronger bonuses. The game does not notify you when you reach a new stage, so you must reactivate Aura or check its appearance through the Aura Editor to see your current progression.

Reaching Stage 5 unlocks the "Iron Man" title and allows you to learn Aura Skin recipes from the Barista Cousin. Aura skins can be equipped through the Aura menu in your inventory, and additional skins can also be purchased with Robux.

Additional Information:
• If you change Aura's visual stage in the Aura Editor before reaching Stage 5, your character will not automatically show newly unlocked stages. To check your actual progression, you must return to the Aura Editor and update the selected stage. Selecting Stage 5 will display your current unlocked Aura stage.

• Changing Aura's appearance to a lower visual stage only affects its look. All unlocked buffs remain active, regardless of which visual stage is selected.

• Aura increases the damage of swords, guns, and fighting styles, but it does not boost Blox Fruit attacks.

• Every successful melee hit you deal or receive while meeting the Aura EXP requirements grants 1 Aura EXP, with reaching the maximum stage typically taking around 8 hours of grinding.

Crafting

Aura colors are crafted using Berries, which are scattered throughout the map and can spawn in any type of bush across all three seas. Different Aura colors require different berry combinations. For example, the Snow White Aura color requires 10 White Cloud Berries. There are eight berry types that can be collected and used in crafting recipes:

• Blue Icicle Berry
• Green Toad Berry
• Orange Berry
• Pink Pig Berry
• Purple Jelly Berry
• Red Cherry Berry
• White Cloud Berry
• Yellow Star Berry

The Barista crafts new Aura colors using the required Berries, Fragments, and an unlocked recipe. The Barista can only be found in the Cafe in the Second Sea and the Mansion in the Third Sea. The Barista Cousin also appears near the Barista and provides Aura color recipes for free, which can later be crafted at the Barista by paying the required Fragment cost. Some Aura colors can be crafted without first obtaining a recipe from the Barista Cousin.

• Crafting a Rare Aura color costs 1,500 Fragments.
• Crafting a Legendary Aura color costs 7,500 Fragments.

Stages

Aura stages are displayed differently depending on the fighting style being used. If you are using Dark Step or Death Step, the visual progression begins on the legs instead of the arms. Each new stage also retains the buffs from all previous stages, so the bonuses continue to stack as Aura levels up, making every stage stronger than the last while preserving the benefits already unlocked.
